Windows 11 mirrored volume vs raidxpert2 (AMD Hardware RAID)

Sorry, misunderstood the original question, thought you were building a NAS for storage AND wanted redundancy on the storage drives,

With the amount of time it takes to restore a drive from a backup, why not just use Veeam and take daily drive images of your OS and point them to your NAS for backups!

You can recover quickly and without data loss if you are using the same motherboard.

If you change motherboards in the future and carry your OS drive over to another board, chances are that you will get BSOD errors anyway due to driver issues.

You can sysprep for the new hardware and that might help obfuscate driver problems but it’s is just as easy anymore (on a new motherboard) to reinstall Windows and reload your data from a backup.

Your situation is a unique one so your best bet is to just test all of your options and see what works best for you.

Make a good working drive image before starting, that is ALWAYS a good idea!
